0The high precision of a few micrometers required for the transition to EVs
This advanced technology is unique to Hikari Seiko, developed through our experience in grinding universal joints with dual shafts. Its excellent coaxiality helps reduce vibration and noise, making it a sought-after technology not only in the automotive industry.including the EV sector.but also in a wide range of other fields.
Furthermore, by combining rigorous quality control throughout the entire manufacturing process with state-of-the-art machining technology, our technology achieves an unprecedented level of precision. This enables us to flexibly accommodate complex shapes and stringent design requirements, significantly contributing to the enhanced performance of components for high-efficiency precision equipment and other applications.
Furthermore, through ongoing research and development, we provide technological capabilities that balance processing speed with costeffectiveness, meeting the diverse needs of the global market.
Kosei Seiko's technologies are not only utilized in the automotive and EV markets but also in fields such as the aerospace industry, where even higher levels of precision and reliability are required, serving as a driving force behind the manufacturing of the future. -
0Amazing Precision Surface Finishing
The surface finishing process performed by Hikari Seiko suppresses diffuse reflection, resulting in a surface that reflects so little light that it appears pitch black, as shown in the photo below. This remarkable finishing technology makes it suitable for use in components that require high precision, such as those found in rockets. Furthermore, this technology reduces surface roughness to the absolute minimum, achieving precision at the 0.1-micron level.
This minimizes friction and wear, expanding its application to cutting-edge fields such as aerospace and medical devices--areas where conventional technologies struggled to meet the demands.
Precision surface finishing not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of the finished surface but also delivers superior durability and corrosion resistance, significantly extending the product's service life. Hikari Seiko's precision surface finishing technologygoes beyond mere cosmetic improvements; by enhancing precision and durability, it maximizesthe overall performance of components. This technology is recognized as a key innovation that meets even the most demanding customer requirements and expands the possibilities of manufacturing.

0One-third of the 1,300 units are manufactured in-house, so in a sense
Approximately one-third of the factory equipment in operation at our company is in-house equipment.
Not only do we possess the technical capabilities to develop equipment on our own, but this also allows us to reduce costs compared to external procurement, which ultimately helps keep product manufacturing costs down. Furthermore, having inhouse equipment enables us to handle everything from design to manufacturing and adjustment entirely in-house, allowing us to respond flexibly to special requests from customers and sudden specification changes. Furthermore, since we can smoothly customize and improve existing equipment, we are able to achieve efficient operations that consistently incorporate the latest production technologies.
The strength of Hikari Seiko's in-house development lies not merely in cost reduction, but in our ability to provide advanced technology and exceptional quality that cannot be replicated by other companies through the establishment of unique production processes. Through this system, we have optimized our entire manufacturing line and are able to flexibly respond to today's diversifying needs, such as short lead times and high-mix, low-volume production. In-house development forms the foundation of Hikari Seiko's innovation and will continue to serve as the driving force behind our pursuit of new possibilities, further strengthening our competitiveness.
