that is Kosei Seiko's approach to quality control.

We have established a cross-departmental quality assurance system to address issues with a sense of urgency. In addition, we have established a Quality Committee to serve as our central quality oversight body, and are working to maintain and improve quality.

  Quality assurance meets global standards

  Since obtaining ISO 14001--the second international environmental management certification in Mie Prefecture--in 1996, we have secured various other certifications, including ISO 9001 and IATF 16949, which are international quality standards. Through these efforts, we support the quality standards of companies not only in Japan but around the world.

• 

  Integrated production from procurement to design and manufacturing

  At Hikari Seiko, we achieve low-cost, high-quality manufacturing by managing the entire production process--from steel procurement and die design and manufacturing to the shipment of assembled products--through our proprietary production process management system.

• 

  Introduction of Precision Measuring Instruments

  We own a range of precision measuring instruments capable of achieving accuracy down to the sub-micron level (1/1000mm),which underpin the precision guarantees for the machined parts produced by Hikari Seiko.

• 

  Cross-departmental quality training system

  All quality training is conducted by cross-departmental teams that form workshops to handle every aspect of the process--from developing teaching materials and designing curricula to refining them--all within a single workshop team. We strive to realize "Kosei-style human resource development" by aiming not only to improve the problemsolving and communication skills of both trainees and trainers, but also to foster personal growth and teamwork.

• Support for Obtaining Various Certifications

  We actively support employees in obtaining external certifications and have helped many of them pass national certification exams and other tests.
